Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst (SBC) is a not-for-profit life sciences campus accelerating health innovation since 2012. Co-located with GSK, it hosts over 45 companies developing pioneering treatments for diseases such as cancer and neurological disorders. Early-stage start-ups benefit from the Lab Hotel, offering six months of free lab and office space with access to +£1m specialist lab equipment and GSK mentoring. Since launch, SBC companies have raised more than £4 billion and achieved seven major exits. SBC offers a cost-effective base with wraparound business support to help businesses grow, as well as local affordable housing, 50 annual networking events, a free station shuttle, gym, green spaces, and wellbeing facilities.
